Safeguarding policy

Last updated: January 2025.

TuitionHarbour delivers one-to-one Computer Science tuition online. We take the safety and wellbeing of our students seriously and this page sets out the practical measures we follow.

Safeguarding contact

The designated safeguarding contact at TuitionHarbour is Kiruthika Ramanathan. Safeguarding concerns can be sent directly to safeguarding@tuitionharbour.co.uk.

Parents and guardians lead

The parent or guardian books the assessment and is the primary point of contact for scheduling, fees and feedback. We do not collect a student email address or other student contact details through this website.

Communication with minors

Scheduling, payment and any formal communication go through the parent or guardian. Tutors do not exchange private messages with students outside of scheduled lessons.

Where lessons take place

Lessons take place over a reputable video platform. We recommend that lessons happen in a shared family space wherever possible. The parent or guardian is welcome to join or observe at any time.

Recording

Lessons are not recorded by default. A recording will only be made where this has been separately agreed in writing with the parent or guardian, and any recording is shared only with that parent or guardian.

Sensitive information

Please do not submit medical, safeguarding or other sensitive information through the free-assessment or contact forms. If something sensitive is relevant, we will discuss it with you separately by email.

Raising a concern

If you have any concern about a lesson or the conduct of a tutor, please email safeguarding@tuitionharbour.co.uk as soon as possible and we will respond promptly.
